Here is a collection of funny sailing fails from the 34th America’s Cup involving sailors going overboard – seems fitting since Oracle are getting dicked by ETNZ.
Its been a little while since I posted, I promise I will start doing these each week.
So where to start this week, there are so many. How about this some AC World Series……
A guest racer goes overboard and recovers before Dean Barker (Helm) notices. Great recovery here from the guest onboard Emirtaes Team New Zealand from Race 3 of AC World Series in Venice.
From a few days ago before the start of racing – Oracle Team USA Joey Newton slides and falls off the Leeward hull of the USA AC72. You got to love this!
This bow down come from the Louis Vuitton Cup, ETNZ going into the mark a bit hard, get a bit down and two crew get washed off – Rob Waddell and Chris Ward, both were quickly picked up by the chase boat. ETNZ went on to win, even with two less crew onboard – good skills.
Another guest spot fail here – the Olympic Gold Medallist Michael Johnson not making across the back of the boat. This was part of the AC World Series on Oracle Team USA Coutts AC45.
This is a great one of Jimmy Spithill from Oracle Team USA showing that anyone can have a bad day. I think I would give him 5.5 for this dive.
And finally a bit of Chromeo ‘Needy Girl’ to start your weekend off with a bit of filth and get you in the mood.
