Americas Cup – Size is Everything

Filed Under (Yeah Bloody Nice) by Chriswah on 08-02-2010

So the Americas Cup was a none starter today in Valencia, not enough wind! Where as RAK had a constant 10 knots.

Who are you backing as the winners?

It been reported over the last few weeks that the little boat above (90ft x 90ft) has cost about $200 million.

I was reading an article about a Laser wind reader that BMW Oracle have, basically reads what the wind speed and direction is at up to 1 km away, looks like a pair of binoculars. Awesome, I need some of these in my life, but with a cost of around $150,000 might have to wait a few weeks till next payday!

I just found a EweTube clip of the Racers Edge wind speed reader….
